Join to apply for the Group Financial Controller role at Safisana
At Safisana, we see waste as a value. We recover resources from organic and fecal waste and transform them into renewable natural gas, electricity, and organic fertilizer. Our mission is to become the leading waste-to-resource solution for urban, non-sewered areas in low- and middle-income countries.
By connecting the dots between health, climate, food, and agriculture, we tackle some of today’s most pressing challenges: food insecurity, sanitation and waste management, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Safisana is a pioneering social enterprise operating in the Netherlands and Ghana, combining impact innovation and circular economy solutions, with plans to scale across Africa and beyond.
We are looking for a Group Financial Controller who is excited to combine strong financial management with purpose-driven work.
In this new role, you will lead and strengthen the group’s financial control, accounting, audit, and compliance processes, and ensure the reliability and transparency of Safisana’s financial information. You’ll play a central part in building the financial systems that support Safisana’s growth and long-term sustainability.
While your main focus will be on financial control, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues working on project finance and strategic modeling within the business development context. Over time, there will be room to grow your role toward business development, project finance, and group financial analysis, helping connect finance more directly to Safisana’s mission and impact.
You are a hands-on, analytical finance professional who enjoys structure, accuracy, and problem-solving.
You thrive in a small, dynamic, international team and want your work to contribute to a healthier planet and stronger communities.
Applicants must already hold a valid work permit and visa enabling them to reside and work in the Netherlands.
We’d love to hear from you! Please click Apply and follow the procedure on our website.
The submission deadline is November 7th, but early submissions are encouraged.
We promote an equal opportunities workplace, committed to the highest standards of diversity and equality in all our actions.
