Job summary

Signify seeks a Group Accounting and Reporting Intern in Amsterdam to learn and contribute to consolidated financial reporting. You will work with the GA&R team, gaining exposure to IFRS standards, reporting cycles, and internal controls while collaborating with Markets and group functions.

The role emphasizes hands-on data analysis using PowerBI and SQL, and offers mentorship, an internship allowance, and development opportunities within a global leader in lighting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, with IFRS knowledge.
• Previous internships in accounting preferred.
• Strong Windows experience with advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English communication in speaking and writing.
• Team-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Support GA&R assignments and IFRS research.
• Assist in revising Signify accounting manual and in preparing accounting presentations in PowerPoint.
• Contribute to GA&R specialist tasks and training events.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements used for internal and external reporting.
• Be the authority on Signify accounting principles and external reporting matters.
• Review consolidated financial information for consistency with IFRS.
• Provide support to Markets, BGs, and group functions on accounting treatments.
• Support Internal Control with ad hoc analysis and quarterly reporting to senior management.
• Assist updates to the internal control framework.
• Support data analysis through MS Access/SQL and PowerBI in digitalization projects.
