Job summary

Irdeto in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, invites an intern to support the Governance, Risk & Compliance function. You will help maintain governance documentation, policies and registers, assist with committee reporting, and contribute to policy review cycles in a global technology environment.

You will also participate in internal controls testing, third‑party screening, and reporting on control effectiveness, while gaining exposure to risk management and ISO 9001 concepts.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in risk management, internal audit, corporate governance or compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Governance & compliance support: maintain policies, procedures, and registers.
• Internal controls & assurance: assist testing and documentation activities.
• Third-party risk screening: coordinate onboarding and screening requests.
• Administrative & project support: manage SharePoint and reporting workstreams.
• Learning focus: exposure to governance frameworks, ISO 9001 concepts, and executive reporting.

The Governance, Risk & Control Intern will support the GRC function in maintaining effective governance practices, internal control monitoring, compliance administration, and third-party risk screening processes. The intern will gain exposure to internal controls, corporate governance, and vendor due diligence within a global technology environment. Key Responsibilities Governance & Compliance Support

• Assist in maintaining governance documentation, policies, procedures, and registers.
• Support policy review cycles and document version control.
• Help coordinate governance committee and management reporting activities.

Internal Controls & Assurance

• Support internal control testing and documentation activities.
• Collect and organize evidence for management control reviews.
• Track remediation actions from audits and control assessments.
• Assist with reporting on control effectiveness and outstanding actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across governance and control processes.

Third-Party Risk Screening

• Coordinate third-party onboarding and screening requests.
• Perform preliminary due diligence reviews using approved screening tools.
• Review screening reports for sanctions, political exposure, adverse media, and industry risk indicators.
• Maintain third-party screening records and supporting documentation.
• Track risk decisions, approvals, and remediation actions.
• Prepare summaries of screening outcomes for management review.

Administrative & Project Support

• Maintain SharePoint repositories and filing structures.
• Track action items arising from governance, risk, and compliance activities.
• Support awareness and training initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and analytical ability.

Preferred

• Interest in Governance, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit
• Familiarity with risk management, governance, compliance, or audit concepts.
• Exposure to data analysis tools such as Power BI is advantageous.
