Job summary

Flow Traders in Amsterdam is offering a Graduate Software Engineer Program starting 1 September 2026. You will join the Product Development team, writing low-latency, high-performance code to support the core trading platform.

You will train intensively with a dedicated mentor, work closely with traders and other developers, and contribute to a modern technology stack in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Proficiency in C++ is required.
• Interest to specialize in Python or Rust is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Git is required.
• Interest in the finance industry, preferably trading.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to take ownership and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications that support Flow Traders' core business.
• Improve the proprietary trading platform with efficient, low-latency code.
• Maintain existing systems focusing on stability.
• Work in small teams and follow agile practices.
• Collaborate daily with Trading and other teams for rapid feedback.
• Maintain shared libraries and evolve architecture.
