Job summary

A2G Consulting in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced Golang Platform Engineer to join the Container Technology & Operations team in Amsterdam. You will design, build, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services that empower application teams to deploy secure, scalable, and resilient software in a large-scale banking environment.

The role combines hands-on Golang development with platform engineering and cloud-native architectures, including IaC, CI/CD, observability, and automation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Experience with Platform Engineering / Cloud-Native architectures.
• Strong Linux and networking knowledge.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Good understanding of CI/CD and automation.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Strong troubleshooting and production operations experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, automate, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services using Golang.
• Build secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-native platforms.
• Work with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, networking, CI/CD, IaC, observability, and automation.
• Develop and improve platform automation and developer experience.
• Support production platforms, troubleshooting, incident management, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Risk, and Operations teams.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
