Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Leiden is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Operator to join the Operations team. You will execute defined tasks, follow SOPs and GMP, and support internal teams to maintain compliant, high-quality output.

This entry-level role works on a shift roster and requires a B1 level in Dutch or English. You will document activities, identify gaps to targets, and communicate with leaders to protect quality and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Relevant MBO-2 diploma with 18+ months' meaningful experience, or a non-relevant MBO-2 diploma with at least 3 years' meaningful experience.
• Language: B1 level in Dutch or English is required.
• Basic MS Office skills and entry-level familiarity with business applications; able to document activities accurately.
• Ability to follow SOPs and GMP and to support tasks related to processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products.
• Quality-oriented, precise, flexible, and positive in approach.
• Able to work on a shift roster and complete required training on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Implement production and administrative tasks by following SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices to meet the Operations unit’s production targets under direct supervision.
• Document day-to-day activities, record gaps between target and actual activity status, and raise concerns to leaders to protect quality, schedule, and compliance.
• Enforce the Code of Business Conduct, company policies, and applicable laws while demonstrating Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo to maintain ethical and safe operations.
• Maintain professional, efficient, and discreet communication and use independent judgement to support team needs and business results.
• Lead your required training: complete courses on time and develop solid understanding of SOPs and GMP to ensure compliant, high-quality output.
• Learn and apply process-improvement methods and standardized work to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost, and scheduling for your team.
