Job summary
ING is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Global Wide Area Network and Network Services squad in Amsterdam. You will design, implement, and operate GWAN components, driving availability and performance in collaboration with internal consumers and external providers.
The role requires hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, routing protocols, firewalling, and cloud-based hybrid networks, plus scripting ability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- Certifications in Networking and Security or equivalent proven proficiency.
- Certifications or proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Own design, implementation and operation of ING GWAN and related services.
- Lead and guide the Network Service Provider to ensure availability and performance.
- Collaborate with squads in an agile environment and report on service metrics.
- Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve incident, change and config processes.
- Advise other squads and maintain consumer-focused service delivery.
