Job summary

DroneShield Limited in the Netherlands seeks a Trade Controls Manager to develop and maintain a global trade compliance program focused on Dutch and EU export controls.

The role requires deep regulatory expertise with emphasis on munition and dual-use items. Amsterdam-based candidates will be considered; duties include classifications, licenses, and coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure full compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Law, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or proven field experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in trade compliance/export controls.
• Defence or aerospace industry experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive global trade compliance program.
• Ensure import/export activities comply with EU regulations and applicable US/Australian rules.
• Monitor EU regulation changes and oversee export control classifications.
• Manage drafting/submission of export/import licenses under Dutch/EU frameworks.
• Coordinate daily import/export with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Maintain records of all trade transactions.
