Job summary

Enza Zaden is seeking a Global Portfolio Manager for Tomato to optimize the international portfolio, coordinating with Product Management, Marketing & Sales, Breeding, and Seed Operations. You will translate strategy into concrete plans and lead multidisciplinary teams to maximize revenue and profitability.

You bring a vision, strong analytics, and a commercial mindset, with a willingness to travel regularly across markets and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO or university level) in agriculture, business, marketing, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in product or portfolio management in an international environment.
• Background in agriculture and knowledge of plant breeding, seeds, and international markets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into decisions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and cross‑functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the product portfolio through lifecycle management and assortment strategy.
• Translate global crop strategy into market plans for both conventional and organic portfolios.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and coordinate with Breeding and Marketing & Sales.
• Oversee product flow, inventory, and write-offs through sales planning.
• Define positioning, pricing, and global allocation for new and existing varieties.
• Oversee variety registration and Plant Breeders’ Rights applications.
