Job summary

SWIFT is seeking a Systems Administrator in Leiden to maintain day-to-day IT operations, configure systems, and support the global network infrastructure. You will interact with network services, engineering, and applications teams to ensure high availability of services.

The role requires a university IT/Engineering degree and some relevant experience. A strong focus on problem management and customer support is essential, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• University degree IT / Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Some experience in a similar position in the same area is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, participate in day-to-day systems administration including setup, configuration, testing, and user administration.
• Identify problems and assist in problem management by collecting data and tracking progress.
• Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore service availability.
• Propose system modifications to reduce user problems across systems, databases, and applications.
• Set up and configure test environments and timely provisioning.
• Update training materials and provide technical support across divisions when needed.
• Review problem situations to identify opportunities for process or tool improvements.
• Acquire technical and product knowledge to resolve problems.
