Stripe is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst in the Netherlands to join the risk, compliance, and operations team. You will work at the intersection of financial risk, compliance, and operations, evaluating merchants and advising cross-functional teams on scalable, compliant processes.

You will assess merchant suitability, ensure alignment with partner needs and SLAs, identify risk trends, and help scale risk management tooling.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or operations in a fast-moving environment.
• Proven track record scaling operational processes and driving quantifiable improvements.
• Experience working cross-functionally on complex problems, with deep empathy for entrepreneurs.
• Strong ability to use data to quantify problems, tell a compelling story, and influence solutions.
• Sound judgment navigating high-risk decisions with ownership and accountability.
• Creative, pragmatic problem solver with customer-focused mindset.
• Preferred: fintech risk assessment experience or knowledge of payment processing systems.

Aufgaben

• Assess merchant suitability to process on Stripe, from startups to institutions, by evaluating regulatory and financial risk.
• Ensure policies, operations, and workflows align with financial partner needs and SLAs.
• Identify risk trends and report findings to cross-functional teams to enhance detection systems.
• Question assumptions, propose process improvements, and drive their implementation under controls.
• Advise operational teams on building scalable processes that ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Analyze feedback patterns and use insights to drive improvements to processes and tooling.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams, Stripe users, and financial partners on high-risk decisions.
• Contribute to due diligence strategy systems and help scale processes across the risk operations ecosystem.
