Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a Resilience and Response Specialist to help anticipate and manage threats that could impact people, client service, and reputation. The role spans risk analysis, intelligence, resilience, and response, often driving multiple workstreams in parallel.

You will own slide updates, identify emerging issues, conduct financial modeling, and produce executive-ready perspectives under team guidance. Collaborative, high-impact work with global teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in risk, intelligence, crisis response, resilience, business continuity, and emergency management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with time-critical issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with senior leadership across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Help anticipate, withstand, and respond to threats and disruptions affecting people, client service, and reputation.
• Lead portfolio risk analysis projects, update slides, and synthesize inputs for executive perspectives.
• Draft rapid-turnaround spotlights and intel reports; support twice-yearly Emerging Threats Index refreshes.
• Mature the Business Continuity Program with governance, training, and standards for critical operations.
• Co-develop continuity playbooks with Disaster Recovery; coordinate KPIs and toolkit refreshes.
• Codify analytic frameworks and lessons learned into a centralized knowledge resource.
• Support cross-functional response structures and manage communications during incidents.
