Job summary

Medtronic plc in Eindhoven is seeking a Privacy Legal Counsel to support privacy, data protection, and responsible data use across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will provide legal advice to business and functional stakeholders on complex data protection matters, helping the organization navigate evolving regulations while enabling innovation in digital health and data governance.

Qualifications

Law degree and 4+ years as legal counsel, or advanced degree with 2+ years in privacy matters.
Experience giving privacy legal advice in a large, matrixed org.
Knowledge of GDPR and UK GDPR across EMEA.
Experience drafting and negotiating data-related agreements.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Advise on privacy, data protection, and regulatory requirements across the EMEA region.
Monitor GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, and other frameworks.
Provide guidance on digital health, AI, data governance, and new product developments.
Draft, review, and negotiate privacy-related agreements.
Support privacy risk assessments and cross-border data transfer reviews.
Assist with privacy incident investigations and regulatory notifications.
Develop privacy guidance, templates, and governance processes.
