Job summary

Airwallex, a global fintech, seeks a Senior Manager for Obligations Management to lead governance infrastructure for regulatory and partner obligations across its worldwide footprint. You will own the central obligations register, RFI knowledge base, and audit register, mapping requirements to controls and accountable owners.

You will work with Regulatory Legal, Internal Audit, and cross-functional teams to ensure traceable, auditable compliance.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, internal audit, or related risk roles in regulated financial services.
• 3+ years managing a compliance inventory, obligations framework, audit issues, or GRC workstreams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear processes, ownership models, and reporting.
• Strong written communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience deploying practical tooling, workflows, or dashboards for compliance operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the central Global Obligations Register with international regulatory rules and partner obligations.
• Coordinate with Risk and Compliance to structure controls, reporting, monitoring, and testing.
• Evolve the RFI knowledge base and evidence portfolios for banking partners and regulators.
• Maintain the global audit register and drive remediation and closure of issues.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Legal to incorporate horizon-scanning insights and keep the registry current.
• Improve operating procedures, data standards, governance routines, and reporting for obligations management.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual trackers with scalable GRC tooling and automation.
• Coordinate regional and cross-functional contributors to maintain central standards while reflecting local rules.
• Produce management reporting on obligations coverage, control mapping, RFI readiness, audits, remediation, and risks.
