Job summary

Enza Zaden, a leading vegetable breeding company, seeks a Global Manager Breeding to translate strategy into executable breeding programs for Brassica, Asparagus and Leek. You will lead diverse breeding teams and align with Crop Segment Teams, Sales and partners to deliver strong performance.

You will report to the Vice President Breeding, shaping the long-term pipeline, driving innovation, and operating within an international, family-owned culture focused on sustainable value creation.

Qualifications

• Strong breeding and technical expertise with leadership experience.
• 12–15 years of relevant experience in plant breeding and program leadership.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and deliver results through hands-on leadership.
• Solid business and financial understanding to prioritize and allocate resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop breeding teams, ensuring strong performance and capability development.
• Translate breeding strategy into actionable breeding programs and ensure execution of crop and business plans.
• Develop and implement breeding strategies that strengthen the pipeline and long-term value.
• Lead OGSM planning and execution within your scope with measurable outcomes.
• Drive innovation adoption in collaboration with the Breeding Principal and other R&D functions.
• Collaborate with Crop Segment Teams, Sales, research partners, and stakeholders for alignment.
• Be a valued member of the Business Dynamic team and Crop Group Management Team.
