Job summary

Hitachi Energy The Netherlands B.V. is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax professional to shape and execute our global indirect tax strategy from Rotterdam. You will collaborate with tax managers, external advisors, and cross-functional teams to optimize VAT and related processes.

Ideal candidates bring 5-7 years of relevant experience, a degree in economics/finance/law, and strong English communication. Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Vertex, and tax technology initiatives is highly valued.

Qualifications

5-7 years of relevant professional experience in tax or related roles.
Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or Law, with focus on taxation.
Solid understanding of EU VAT Directive and its practical application.

Responsibilities

Support design and execution of strategy for future indirect tax function.
Cooperate with stakeholders for global indirect tax optimization.
Work with tax managers and external advisors on complex projects or global contracts.
Maximize technology use (S/4 Hana and Vertex) and explore AI opportunities.
Lead cross-functional tax initiatives and translate complex issues for non-experts.
