Job summary

VATWorkx is looking for a Senior Indirect Tax Manager to join a cross-disciplinary team in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, with partly remote work. You will drive advisory, compliance, and transformation efforts in indirect tax and data-enabled processes.

You will work across tax, finance, data, and tech specialists, overseeing complex VAT matters and leading transformations. Strong English communication is essential; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of VAT/indirect tax experience.
• Strong technical foundation with a pragmatic mindset.
• Interest in technology, systems and data.
• Self-starter with ownership and flexibility.
• Excellent English communication; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex VAT matters across industries.
• Oversee and improve VAT compliance processes.
• Lead or support indirect tax transformation projects.
• Work on e-invoicing and digital reporting implementations.
• Analyze and improve VAT data flows in ERP systems.
• Support carve-outs, integrations and system changes.
• Identify automation and control improvement opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members.
