Job summary

Everience, an international consulting group delivering AI-augmented digital services, is seeking a Commodity Buyer – Indirect Spend in Leiden.

You will develop and execute sourcing strategies across indirect categories, lead tender and RFQ processes, and negotiate contracts while managing supplier relationships in an international environment.

You will work with business leaders and stakeholders to optimize costs, ensure compliance, and drive procurement transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HBO level) or equivalent.
• Several years of procurement or category-management experience.
• Experience with indirect spend categories (IT, professional services, facilities, workforce solutions).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills; fluent Dutch and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories.
• Lead supplier selection, tender and RFQ processes.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, framework agreements and service contracts.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive continuous supplier performance improvements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to procurement transformation initiatives.
• Monitor supplier risks and support business continuity across critical service categories.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and procurement needs.
• Support contract management, renewals and supplier governance activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and applicable regulations.
• Provide reporting on spend, savings, supplier performance and procurement activities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the procurement function.
