Job summary

Alex Partners is seeking a Global Human Resources Director for The Netherlands. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the global people agenda during a period of growth and change, driving strategic HR across Europe and the US.

You will champion change, build a lean, business-focused HR function, oversee multi-country restructurings and post-merger integrations, harmonise policies and systems, and manage employee relations and Dutch labour law within a PE-backed, board-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in organisational transformation and restructuring.
• Hands-on leadership of people integration across multiple M&A deals.
• Ability to stabilize leadership teams during executive transitions.
• Experience building international HR functions and HRIS from scratch.
• Familiarity with Dutch labour law and pan-European employment relations.

Our client is a Global, PE-backed leader within the Healthcare/Manufacturing sector. With sites spanning Europe and US, the business is seeking an experienced People leader to join their business during a period of growth and change.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the global people agenda at a critical moment for the organization; having undergone significant growth and change the business is seeking a HR leader with experience in driving organisational change in a global setting.

Responsibilities

• Champion change across the organization and directly leading and right-sizing a multi-country HR team.
• Lead workforce and footprint restructuring to right-size the cost base, including the people implications of potential site disposals.
• Translate business strategy into clear organizational and HR priorities, and shape strategic decisions as a member of the Global Leadership Team.
• Professionalise and rebuild the HR function into a leaner, business-focused team.
• Complete post-merger integration projects following recent acquisitions
• Harmonise HR policies, processes and systems across countries, balancing global consistency with local flexibility.
• Manage multi-jurisdiction employment law and employee relations across Europe and US (with strong grounding in Dutch labour law)
• Maintain trusted relationships with works councils and unions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Pragmatic HR leader with a strong track record in organisational transformation and restructuring.
• Hands-on experience personally leading people integration across multiple M&A deals.
• Proven ability to stabilize leadership teams through executive transition.
• Strong background in organizational design, workforce restructuring and footprint rationalization.
• Experience handling employee relations through disposals or major reorganizations.
• History of professionalizing international HR functions and building HRIS from the ground up.
• Experience harmonizing HR structures and practices across countries or entities.
• Comfortable in a PE-backed environment with board-level reporting and KPI scrutiny
