Job summary

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services is seeking a senior financial professional to supervise and develop the accounting team, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic finance partnership across regions. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting operations, reporting, and strong internal controls within an international environment.

Responsibilities cover cash flow forecasting, audits, tax, and governance, while collaborating with management and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Certified Accountant with expertise in Finance, Accounting, Reporting, or Tax.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience in accounting or finance roles within international or global organizations.
• Solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
• Fluent business-level English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate closings.
• Supervise and develop the Finance team and oversee KPIs and training.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, internal controls, and SAP processes.
• Prepare financial statements, statutory reports, budgets, and analyses for decision-making.
• Oversee tax compliance and relationships with authorities.
• Advise Country Manager on financial strategy and governance improvements.
• Oversee contracts, insurance, and compliance-related obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial reporting and internal controls.
