Job summary

MFS, an internationally operating gas turbine company, seeks a Field Service Engineer to maintain, advise on, and supervise aeroderivative and heavy duty gas turbines. You will install, start up, and repair turbines at client sites worldwide, including offshore projects.

You will travel extensively (about 70%) and based at our workshop in Heteren when not on assignments. A degree in mechanical or related engineering, five years of field service experience, and fluency in English are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in field service work.
• Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive, aviation, mechatronics, electrical engineering or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of Aeroderivative and/or Heavy duty gas turbines.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, piping, and instrumentation drawings.
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, technical advice and supervision for aeroderivative and heavy duty gas turbines.
• Install, start up and repair gas turbines at client facilities worldwide, on- and offshore.
• Manage contracted crew for the specific scope of work as required.
• Travel approximately 70% of the time and work offshore primarily in Europe, USA and Asia.
• Be coached at headquarters with on-the-job training and regular support from your manager.
