Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in the Netherlands seeks a Field Service Engineer - Gas to support the Gas Team in Dordrecht. You will maintain gas engine systems, diagnose faults, and perform preventive maintenance across mechanical and control subsystems, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to sustain optimal performance.

The role requires a technical degree and several years of relevant experience, with strong English communication and a professional, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Completed degree (min. MBO3-4) in a technical direction, preferably engine related.
• At least 2-5 years of work experience, preferably in a comparable environment (Gas engines, gensets or electrical systems).
• Technical knowledge in control and automation systems.
• Ability to work with computers, electronic control systems and measuring equipment.
• Good reporting skills in English language.
• Customer-friendly, solution-oriented, team player and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and ensure the performance, reliability, and integrity of gas engines, generator sets, and related systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical engine components and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve system failures and document findings in service reports.
• Inspect engine material condition and verify solutions addressing wear or obsolescence.
• Perform accurate fault diagnosis using advanced diagnostic tools and engine monitoring systems.
