Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking a Global Account Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities worldwide. You will engage IT decision makers, conduct proactive outreach, and build long-term relationships to provide Cogent connectivity solutions across IP transit, Wave, Ethernet, Colocation and IPv4 services.

You will work in an in-office environment five days a week, collaborating with internal teams and leveraging Cogent's extensive global network footprint to exceed revenue

Qualifications

• Telesales experience in B2B sales is advantageous
• Proven ability to identify, qualify and generate new business opportunities via proactive prospecting
• Strong communication skills with Key Decision Makers
• Self-motivated, proactive and revenue-driven
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with team collaboration
• Familiarity with CRM systems and MS Office is beneficial
• Global sales experience and multilingual abilities are an advantage
• Fluent English and additional languages preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and secure new opportunities in a global sales territory (IP transit, Wave, Ethernet, Colocation, IPv4)
• Use direct calling, email outreach and meetings to engage Key Decision Makers
• Apply consultative, relationship-driven selling to understand client connectivity needs
• Position Cogent services leveraging a global network footprint across buildings, data centers and hotels
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs and exceed expectations
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities in CRM and manage relationships
