Job summary

Thai Union Group in Wageningen seeks a Concept Development Director to lead the front end of innovation globally. You will translate consumer needs, market trends, and tech developments into breakthrough concepts that shape ambient branded seafood.

You will report to the Managing Directors of R&D and Global Marketing, shaping opportunities, managing a robust pipeline, and driving consumer-led innovation across markets with a strong emphasis on collaboration and strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Seasoned FMCG/food experience with a focus on concept development.
• Proven ability to translate consumer insights into commercially relevant concepts.
• Strong skills in trend analysis, proposition development, and innovation strategy.
• Track record influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Shape the global innovation agenda across markets and platforms.
• Translate consumer needs and trends into breakthrough concepts.
• Develop consumer propositions including audience, occasions, and positioning.
• Build and manage a validated pipeline of concepts for long-term growth.
• Prioritize opportunities for strategic fit and commercial potential.
• Collaborate with Insights, Marketing, R&D, Commercial, Packaging and markets.
• Support opportunity sizing, business cases, and investment decisions.
• Champion consumer-led culture balancing creativity and discipline.
• Guide concepts through early funnel to development handover.
