Job summary

Robin in the Netherlands is seeking a Compliance & Certification Engineer to boost the radar team's regulatory capacity. You will manage US MAX, MIL‑STD environments, and drive pre‑compliance testing to enable faster external approvals and global market access.

You will translate complex norms into actionable guidance, maintain certificates, and collaborate with labs, regulators, and consultants to ensure ongoing compliance for safety and RF standards across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical field.
• Proven experience managing relationships with external parties such as test houses, regulators or consultants.
• Solid background in at least one major testing discipline: Environmental, Safety, or Radio.
• Extensive experience with NRTLs/UL approval processes and North American electrical safety standards or FCC regulations.
• Excellent English communication skills, translating norms into actionable engineering advice.

Responsibilities

• Identify compliance requirements during project concept phase and develop test profiles for military/stability requirements.
• Act as primary contact with external partners, including accredited labs, regulators, and consultants.
• Plan and oversee certification paths to gain global market access and manage re-certification tests.
• Keep product certificates up-to-date with evolving laws and product updates.
• Create and update test plans for approvals (STANAG, CE, FCC, NRTL) and generate safety assessments.
• Mature internal pre‑compliance testing capabilities to reduce risk before external testing.
