Job description

Rig the test, trust the tech – build hardware tough enough for the real world.

As our System Validation Engineer, you ensure our integrated electrical and mechanical systems handle the harshest environments. You bridge the gap between design and physical reality by configuring hardware, instrumenting tests, and troubleshooting system failures. Working closely with I&D Engineering, Operations, and external test labs, you report to the System Validation & Validation Team Lead. Your work gives our customers complete confidence when our radars deploy to critical sites.

What You'll Do
  • Hardware readiness and instrumentation: Prepare the Device Under Test from mechanical assembly to electrical configuration. Instrument systems with sensors to validate technical specifications before laboratory dispatch.
  • Test plan creation and execution: Design and execute rigorous test plans aligned with product specifications. Apply international standards like MIL-STD-810, NATO STANAG, and CE.
  • Root-cause analysis and data translation: Investigate mechanical failures and electrical degradation during test campaigns. Translate complex sensor data into clear, actionable feedback for R&D design teams.
  • External lab coordination: Serve as the main technical contact for external test laboratories. Provide labs with precise instructions and parameters, then evaluate raw data to write final conclusions.
  • Traceability and reporting: Consolidate raw data and test logs into formal engineering reports. Maintain 100% traceability back to original product requirements.
What You Bring
  • BSc or MSc degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanics or Electromechanics.
  • 3+ years in validation and validation or test engineering for integrated hardware-software systems.
  • Proven ability to apply MIL-STD-810, NATO STANAG, and CE standards.
  • Experience managing thermal, vibration, shock, and EMC test campaigns at external facilities.
  • Hands-on assembly, instrumentation, and root-cause analysis skills for hardware failures.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard traceability tools such as Jira or Confluence.
  • Experience using FEA or thermal simulation software to predict hardware stress.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
  • Calm under pressure with strong, solution-oriented communication skills.

N.B. Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box. Our mission is a journey, and there’s plenty to learn along the way.

A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and a background check are part of our screening process. We appreciate your understanding.
