Job summary

BDR Thermea Group in the Netherlands is offering a Communications Internship in Apeldoorn. You will join the Global Communications team and contribute to content, campaigns, and storytelling that inform, engage, and inspire colleagues across the organization.

This hybrid role starts on 1 February 2027, requires 40 hours per week for 4–6 months, and includes a monthly internship allowance of €500–€550. You will gain hands-on experience with SharePoint and Canva, and practice writing and editing

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Communications at a Dutch university.

Your role

As our Communications Intern, you’ll join the Global Communications team and support how we inform, engage, and inspire colleagues across BDR Thermea.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience in internal and external communications, working on content, campaigns, and storytelling that strengthen our culture, build our reputation, and support our strategic priorities.

This is a hybrid role based in Apeldoorn. We encourage you to spend at least two days per week in the office.

The internship start date is 1 February 2027.

Your key responsibilities

Depending on your interests and strengths, you will contribute to:

• Content creation: Write and edit articles, news updates, and leadership messages for internal and external channels
• Storytelling: Help turn complex topics into clear, engaging stories that resonate with different audiences
• Internal communications: Support campaigns that engage employees and bring our strategy and culture to life
• Digital channels: Help manage and optimise channels such as intranet, internet and social media
• Campaign support: Assist in planning and executing global communication initiatives and events
• Analytics & insights: Track performance and engagement metrics to continuously improve communication impact

What you bring

• You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications or a related field at a university in the Netherlands (WO or HBO-level).
• You have a strong interest in corporate communications and storytelling
• You are proactive, curious, and eager to learn
• You have strong writing and editing skills
• You have a keen eye for detail, a critical mindset, and an organised approach
• You are comfortable working in English in an international environment

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with digital tools (SharePoint, Canva, etc.)
• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus, but not a must
