Job summary

SKF Group is seeking an Alignment & Vibration Engineer to travel internationally and provide on-site technical expertise for propulsion and rotating equipment across marine and offshore sectors. You will lead alignment, diagnostics, and maintenance activities to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.

The role involves working with SKF's Marine and Offshore teams, delivering high-quality service reports, and representing SKF on customer sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical or marine engineering disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain propulsion and rotating equipment components.
• Perform machine alignment, chocking, grouting and commissioning activities.
• Assemble and disassemble bearings, seals, couplings and driveline components.
• Perform condition monitoring and diagnostic activities (laser alignment, vibration analysis, 3D metrology).
• Prepare detailed technical reports and service documentation.
