Job summary

Forbo Flooring Systems in Assendelft is seeking a General Services & Strategic Sourcing NPR Coordinator to drive the NPR sourcing programme and later evolve into a Procurement Category Manager for General Services across 13 production sites and multiple sales organisations.

You will coordinate with the external consulting partner and internal stakeholders, manage data access, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations and cost optimization, and support the rollout of our AI-enabled S2P platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Procurement or Business Administration.
• 3–5 years NPR procurement experience in sourcing coordination or category management.
• Fluent in English; Dutch preferred; willing to travel globally (~20%).

Responsibilities

Global Procurement context

Our Global Procurement team is embarking on an exciting transformation journey — challenging its Non Product Related spend and integrating a fully digital, AI-enabled Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform to deliver state-of-the-art procurement efficiency and unlock new levels of value creation.

Mission / Role Purpose

During the first two years, the primary mission will be to coordinate the NPR strategic Sourcing programme acting as the key interface between the external consulting partner with the internal stakeholders. This role offers a unique opportunity to accelerate expertise across multiple NPR categories and gain hands‑on experience in strategic sourcing methodologies while building a strong internal stakeholder’s network. Subsequently, the role will evolve into a Procurement Category Manager position for General Services (e.g. Marketing, HR, IT, Professional Services...). In this capacity, you will be accountable for defining and executing global category strategies across 13 production sites and multiple sales organisations. You will lead a vendor base rationalisation programme and drive optimisation of service levels and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Key Responsibilities As NPR Strategic Sourcing Coordinator

• Program & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate the NPR sourcing programme portfolio, including planning, milestones, risks, and action tracking.
  • Organize governance meetings, steering committees, and executive reporting.
  • Ensure progress and alignment with agreed priorities and timelines.
• Consulting Partner Management
  • Act as the primary day-to-day interface between Forbo and the consulting partner.
  • Coordinate access to data, stakeholders, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Monitor project deliverables, challenge recommendations, and ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Engage budget owners and functional leaders across NPR spend categories.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering, alignment on sourcing strategies, and decision‑making.
  • Support change management and adoption of sourcing recommendations.
• Sourcing & Implementation Support
  • Support RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract implementation activities.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding and monitor compliance with newly negotiated agreements.
  • Translate identified opportunities into measurable business benefits - for a selection of categories within General Services ; others will be delegated to the proper category managers.
• Savings & Performance Tracking
  • Ensure accurate tracking of savings and performance in coordination with the Procurement Business Controller.

  • Manage relationships and performance of our strategic partners globally.
  • Lead commercial negotiations (pricing, service levels and warranties) to maximize value.
  • Develop and negotiate robust contractual set ups to mitigate risks.
  • Drive supplier‑led innovation.
• Global Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with stakeholders and Finance teams across the world.
  • Act as the central point of contact for the categories you are in charge.
  • Support operational performance by ensuring the availability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Digital Procurement Transformation
  • Contribute to the roll‑out and adoption of our new AI‑enabled S2P platform.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and AI tools for market intelligence, supplier performance tracking, and cost modelling.
  • Promote data‑driven decision‑making and process automation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Procurement, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of NPR procurement experience, in sourcing project coordination or category management.
• Exposure to vendor base rationalization and TCO optimization initiatives, with the ability to contribute to sourcing and cost improvement projects.
• Negotiation, contract management, and supplier development skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex, high‑value projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of influencing stakeholders globally.
• Digital procurement mindset with an appetite for AI‑enabled tools.
• Fluent in English, Dutch preferred, French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel globally (~20%).
