GL ACCOUNTANT | POLISH SPEAKING | GAAP / IFRS

Amersfoort | 40 hours | International Finance

For an international technology organization operating within the circular economy, I am looking for an experienced GL Accountant who is fluent in Polish and English.

This is not just an accounting position focused on processing transactions. You will take ownership of an important part of the General Ledger and financial closing process and work closely with finance colleagues and stakeholders across different countries.

What will you be responsible for?

As GL Accountant, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing accruals, provisions and intercompany transactions
• Ensuring correct accounting treatment in line with GAAP / IFRS
• Monitoring compliance with internal accounting policies and controls
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Identifying discrepancies and investigating differences in the General Ledger
• Working closely with the international finance organization
• Contributing to improvements and further professionalization of accounting processes
• Working with the ERP environment, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience being a strong advantage

Who are we looking for?

You have a solid accounting foundation and understand what is required to independently manage GL activities within an international organization.

Ideally, you bring:

• 3–5+ years of experience within GL Accounting, Financial Accounting or a comparable position
• Strong experience with General Ledger accounting and financial closing
• Good knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and intercompany accounting
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Strong Excel and ERP skills
• Fluency in Polish and English – this is an important requirement for the position
• The ability to work accurately and independently in a dynamic international environment
