Job summary

Kaizo is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect and manage scalable, secure cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You’ll design resilient, cost-efficient infrastructure and help operate Kubernetes clusters powering a 200+ million events daily, from Amsterdam office with flexible remote options within the EU.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and orchestration at scale.
• Experience with Kafka clusters, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB in production.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (New Relic, Logging, APM solutions).
• Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and cost optimization in cloud environments.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams, collaborating with Product Managers, developers, and DevOps engineers.
• BS/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Managing and optimizing GCP services.
• Building Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Github actions.
• Working with development teams to architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Monitoring system performance, implementing observability solutions, and ensuring high availability across all services.
• Analyzing infrastructure needs, suggesting improvements to our cloud architecture with freedom to implement innovative solutions.
• Implementing and maintaining security best practices to ensure a secure and protected cloud environment, including IAM policies, network security, and compliance frameworks.
