Job summary

EU Satellite Centre (SatCen) in ESTEC, Noordwijk, Netherlands, seeks a Galileo Services Implementation Lead within the Galileo System Engineering Unit to drive service provision requirements and roadmaps.

You will coordinate with the Galileo Programme Office, EU agencies and Member States, ensuring compliance with service requirements, and you will lead the study and validation efforts across system builds and user segments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GNSS systems and services.
• Experience with GNSS receivers and GNSS user segment applications such as high-accuracy mass-market applications, autonomous vehicles and/or timing and synchronisation
• Experience in design, development and validation for large space projects
• Experience in product roadmapping
• Experience in coordinating the work of technical experts
• Experience in management of industry contracts for technology and product development

Responsibilities

• Leading the Galileo system roadmap definition and alignment with program/service roadmaps.
• Representing ESA as design and/or qualification authority vis‑à‑vis the EU and Member States; coordinating with stakeholders.
• Leading identification and description of new user segment use cases and validating system specs from a service perspective.
• Managing weekly interactions with Commission/EUSPA/Member States on system builds and compliance statements.
• Defining Galileo system requirements, architecture and ops concepts in line with roadmaps.
• Contributing to System Assembly, Integration and Verification plans and their implementation.
• Investigating ARs and NCRs and leading studies/tools/testbeds for user performance validation.
• Coordinating with Space/Ground/Safety teams and industry to implement the system roadmap.
