Job summary

Middle Point in the Netherlands seeks a Functional Application Specialist – Cadmatic Hull to bridge engineering and CAD/PLM systems. You will configure Cadmatic Hull, maintain data and support users across shipbuilding projects, with a focus on reliable configuration and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or proven competence in Shipbuilding.
• Strong proficiency with Cadmatic Hull.
• Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management is preferred.
• Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Ability to work at Vlissingen and Schiedam locations.
• Excellent antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure.

Job description

As a Functional Application Specialist – Cadmatic Hull, you will play a key role in connecting shipbuilding engineering with CAD and PLM applications. Working in the southern region of the Netherlands, you will support complex naval shipbuilding projects by ensuring that Cadmatic Hull is effectively configured, maintained, and used across engineering teams.

Tasks

In this role, you act as the bridge between Engineering and IT, translating engineering requirements into functional application solutions. You will support Cadmatic Hull users, configure project environments, manage engineering data and libraries, and contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD/PLM processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or proven competence in Engineering, preferably Shipbuilding
• Strong proficiency with the Cadmatic platform, particularly Cadmatic Hull
• Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management is preferred
• Good command of English; Dutch is an advantage
• Ability to work at both Vlissingen and Schiedam locations
• Excellent antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure
