Job summary

Damen Naval is seeking a Functional Application Specialist to support the CAD/PLM workflows within Cadmatic Hull across the product lifecycle. The role bridges Business and IT, optimizing engineering processes and delivering tangible improvements to projects.

Requirements include a engineering degree, Cadmatic proficiency, and strong English; Dutch is a plus. The job is based in Vlissingen/Schiedam, NL, with hybrid work and pre-employment security screening.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent.
Proficiency with Cadmatic platform.
Knowledge of PLM principles; experience with functional application management preferred.
Excellent English; Dutch language is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Translate engineering business needs into functional specifications for the application developments.
Analyze issues with stakeholders and devise solutions.
Develop and implement application processes and functionalities.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
Manage interfaces between applications and Cadmatic Hull.
Setup and configure project environments within Cadmatic Hull.
Organize application-related training with Manager Engineering Support.
Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users regarding Cadmatic Hull.
Prepare Cadmatic training materials and user manuals.
