Job summary

Foreside in Eindhoven is seeking a software developer to build frontend and backend applications across the stack. You’ll connect services, databases and cloud hosting, focusing on performance, security, and scalability.

With at least three years of frontend or backend experience, you’ll work in an Agile/DevOps team using CI/CD and modern tooling. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS is preferred, plus English at B2 and Dutch at A2.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience in frontend or backend development.
• Strong knowledge of a backend technology (Java, .NET, Python or Node.js) and related framework.
• Experience building or integrating REST APIs, GraphQL or gRPC.
• Ability to write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Experience with cloud hosting or serverless services and Agile/DevOps CI/CD practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.

You build applications for our clients, from the interface to the services and data behind it. Your understanding of both sides helps the parts work together and gives users an application they can rely on.

Eindhoven 32 to 40 hours Permanent contract €4.200 - €6.400 p/m

You work with: Java TypeScript Python .NET

What you do

• You develop frontend applications, backend services and APIs that work together
• You connect applications to databases, cloud services and event-driven systems
• You make design decisions with performance, security and scalability in mind
• You work with your DevOps team throughout the development cycle, from design to deployment and maintenance
• You use AI to write, test and check code, reviewing what you deliver yourself

What you bring

• You have at least three years of experience in frontend or backend development
• You know a backend technology such as Java, .NET, Python or Node.js well and have experience with a related framework
• You have experience with databases and building or integrating REST APIs, GraphQL or gRPC
• You write unit, integration and end-to-end tests
• You have experience with cloud hosting or serverless services and collaborate in an Agile or DevOps team using CI/CD
• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field

Nice to have

• You have experience with Docker or Kubernetes and architectural styles such as microservices or event-driven architecture
• You have worked with message brokers or event buses, such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
• You know authentication protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth2 or SAML2
• You have experience with design systems, component libraries and other frontend tooling
