Job summary

Eenvoud is building modern web applications for diverse clients from Amsterdam. You will design and develop full-stack solutions, selecting the right stack for each project while keeping close client collaboration and rapid iterations.

You work on long-lasting apps, adapt to each project, and continuously improve code quality through reviews and disciplined teamwork. The role blends hands-on coding with client-facing responsibilities in a hybrid setup near Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience with web applications and a strong backend/frontend balance.
• Ability to explain technical choices to clients and translate challenges into tech solutions.
• Independent, client-facing, and proactive in aligning on the best path.
• Comfort with existing codebases and improving maintainability step by step.
• Experience designing architectures and data models for scalable apps.

Job description

You develop and maintain applications for regular clients, choose the stack for each assignment and work in a small team with no layers in between.

You work on custom applications that are set up from the ground up and then last for years. We work without a fixed recipe, decide per project what is needed, and build it properly.

You are close to the client, help think through the choices and keep building after go-live. Your work keeps moving, just like the organisations you develop for.

What you do

• You design and develop applications from backend to frontend, using Laravel, Node.js, Vue and React among others.
• You choose and implement a fitting architecture, including APIs via REST or GraphQL and data models in PostgreSQL.
• You work with TypeScript, test your code and safeguard quality with reviews and clear agreements within the team.
• You apply AI where it adds value, model-independent, with GPT, Claude or open source models for example.
• You talk to clients directly, translate their challenge into technology and adjust course based on how it is used.

What you bring

• You have several years of experience with web applications and are at home in both backend and frontend.
• You back up technical choices and can explain why something fits or does not.
• You like being in contact with clients and really understanding their work.
• You work independently and actively seek alignment to sharpen the choices.
• You can get to grips with existing codebases and make them better and maintainable step by step.
