Full-Time Secondary School Laboratory Assistant

ISA is looking for a Full-Time Secondary School Laboratory Assistant to start as soon as possible. As this is a Classroom Assistant position, we can only accept applications from local residents.

The classroom assistant supports the Science department teachers' delivery of the curriculum and their use of school laboratories. This involves helping set up labs and classroom spaces, preparing equipment, and working with students on projects.

Essential Job Functions

• Assists in the preparation of instructional materials and displays as directed
• Is involved in supervision of small groups of students or class at tasks assigned by the teacher in curricular areas
• Performs clerical and organizational duties (e.g. organizing, inventories, stocktaking)
• Helps with the room set-up and clean-up at the start, throughout, and at the end of the day
• Accompany students to fieldtrips and chaperone a small group of students, as required

Essential Job Requirements

• Education preferred: Strong preference for candidates with science and/or education degrees or training
• Experience preferred: Experience in working with children in a classroom setting, health and safety or First Aid experience and/or certification
• Req. knowledge/skills: Fluency in English (verbally and in writing), computer literate, good communicator with teacher and students
• Specific requirements: Work permit / EU passport
