Job summary

FiveX is building technology to turn marketplace, advertising and profitability data into product workflows used by ecommerce teams daily.

As a PHP-focused engineer, you will ship backend features, work across services and frontend surfaces when needed, and emphasize reliability, maintainability and clear design. Amsterdam-based collaboration will be required to align with the FiveX design system.

Qualifications

• Professional experience shipping PHP applications beyond tutorials.
• Comfort with SQL, transactional thinking and pragmatic API design.
• Experience with Git workflows, automated testing at useful breadth and production troubleshooting basics.
• Eligible to work from Amsterdam hub when synchronous collaboration is needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement features across backend and customer-visible flows with tests appropriate to risk.
• Improve performance or reliability hotspots surfaced by monitoring or customer incidents.
• Partner with peers on schema migrations, rollout strategy and backwards-compatible deployments.
• Document meaningful decisions so onboarding stays lightweight.
