Booking.com in Amsterdam is seeking talented Full-Stack Engineers to join our Amsterdam HQ. You will design and implement end-to-end product features, collaborate with UX designers, data scientists, and developers, and continuously improve high-performance systems across multiple business units.

We value strong experience with Java, Python, Scala, Kotlin, Javascript, React, and databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), plus familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern frontend architectures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Software development experience with Java, Python, Scala, Kotlin and Javascript and React framework using modern tools and methodologies.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Understanding of modern front end architecture principles: micro frontend, SSR, SPA, responsive design.
• Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
• Ability to write high-performance, reusable code.
• Writing unit and integration tests; data-driven product development including analytics and A/B testing.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end product features in collaboration with UX Designers, Data scientists, and other Developers.
• Evaluate customer needs and propose optimal solutions across languages, architecture, and risks.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems with end-to-end ownership and monitor SLIs/SLOs.
• Continuously learn and apply modern development methodologies and tools.
• Deploy and maintain software in production.
• Proactively propose improvements to reduce technical debt and increase business impact.
