Job summary

eBay is looking for a versatile software engineer to help rebuild internal advertising tools with a 60/40 backend/frontend focus. You will own creative components and the systems used to configure, manage, and operate them, building scalable internal tools and workflow experiences for teams.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering across geographies to deliver reliable services and APIs, improve performance and security, and mentor others while maintaining high coding

Qualifications

• BS/MS in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building modern web apps using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and React.
• Experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, and frontend/backend integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own advertising creative components and the systems used to configure, manage, and operate them.
• Build scalable internal tools and workflow-management systems for improved efficiency and reliability.
• Deliver intuitive, performant, accessible, and secure applications for internal users and partner teams.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and cross-functional teams to turn operational needs into end-to-end experiences.
• Contribute to architectural design, code reviews, and mentoring while upholding high standards for quality and ownership.
