Job summary

Praetori is seeking an engineer to sit beside operators in Haarlem, the Netherlands, deploying on-site with customers and traveling frequently. You will translate operational realities into software, prototype quickly, and ship capabilities that survive in high-consequence environments.

You will join a small, mission-focused team building sovereign infrastructure and working directly with operators, founders, and platform engineers to secure Europe’s operational independence.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping software that solves real operational problems.
• Ability to move fast through unfamiliar systems and end-to-end development.

Responsibilities

• 01 Deploy on-site with defence, intelligence, public security and critical-infrastructure customers to understand their operations in depth.
• 02 Translate messy operational reality into clear problems, then into working software.
• 03 Prototype quickly against real workflows and data, iterating directly with the operators who will use it.
• 04 Ship production capabilities into live, high-consequence environments, and stand behind them.
• 05 Integrate with the customer's existing systems and constraints, including secure and offline environments.
• 06 Become the trusted technical advisor to the operators and leaders you work with.
• 07 Carry field insight back into the roadmap. Shape it with evidence, not opinion.
• 08 Work within strict security and sovereignty requirements without letting delivery stall.
