Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Frontier Engineer in the Netherlands to design, deploy and continuously improve AI-native systems for leading organizations. You will work in a hybrid setup with 3 days weekly in client or Cognizant offices in the Netherlands, collaborating across teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.

The role emphasizes agentic coding, multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines and LLMOps, with a focus on responsible AI, safety, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of technical delivery experience with strong AI-tool fluency across the full stack.
• Hands-on experience with agentic coding and multi-agent orchestration using LangChain, AutoGen or LangGraph.
• Strong prompt and intent engineering skills to validate AI-generated code for quality and correctness.
• Experience designing RAG pipelines and managing vector databases to ground and improve agent accuracy.
• LLMOps and model lifecycle management experience, including guardrails, observability and CI/CD for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and orchestrate multi-agent AI systems integrated into production environments.
• Design intent-driven prompts and workflows for AI coding agents with quality and safety in mind.
• Create scalable RAG architectures, vector stores and knowledge systems for context-aware AI experiences.
• Deploy, monitor and optimize LLMs and AI agents in production with guardrails and observability.
• Build AI-embedded applications using enterprise AI platforms and modern engineering practices.
