Job summary

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is seeking a QA Engineer to join the Daily Banking IT team in the Netherlands. You will define test strategies for web applications, design and maintain automated test frameworks, and execute comprehensive end-to-end, integration, and regression tests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years QA experience including 3+ years hands-on web test automation.
• Strong experience with modern web automation tools such as: Playwright, TestCafe, Cypress.
• Solid understanding of web application testing concepts (UI, client-side logic, browser behavior).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments & DevOps ways of working.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Hands-on experience with test case management tools (e.g. Azure Test Plans).
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive test strategy for web applications (functional & non-functional).
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks.
• Implement and execute end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites.
• Own and continuously improve E2E web automation coverage.
• Validate frontend integration with APIs and backend services.
• Ensure quality gates are met in CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform manual exploratory testing when required.
• Identify, report, and track defects with clear root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
• Advocate for shift-left testing, quality best practices, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA capability building.
