Job summary

Nmbrs BV in Rotterdam seeks a Senior Front-end Developer to strengthen the technical foundation of our engineering department. You will build internal tools, integrations and front-end architecture with a focus on speed, security and scalability, collaborating with backend engineers and other teams.

You’ll own the front-end architecture of our internal platform, guide others, and help shape the technical direction while delivering robust, maintainable code in a Scrum environment.

Qualifications

As Senior Front-end Developer, you strengthen the technical foundation our engineering department is built on. You build the internal tools, integrations and front-end architecture that other development teams rely on every day, using your deep expertise in Vue.js. Together with the Platform Team, you keep our platform fast, secure and scalable. Your role

As Senior Front-end Developer, you focus on the system-technical foundation of Nmbrs. Your mission is to build and maintain the internal tools, infrastructure and (Visma) integrations that support our engineering department - with a sharp focus on the front-end. You are the specialist who keeps our platform performant, secure and scalable.

You own the front-end architecture of our internal platform. You work closely with backend engineers, other development teams and stakeholders, and are responsible for the quality, performance and maintainability of everything we ship on the front-end.

In practice, you will:

• Build new components and pages in Vue.js, and create robust data interfaces with external parties and internal back-end services.
• Refactor and optimise existing front-end codebases to improve execution speed and maintainability.
• Take part in the full front-end feature lifecycle, with a specific focus on systematic coding, debugging, and resolving technical bottlenecks within the platform.
• Build and refine internal tools and processes that help other development teams work more efficiently.
• Write readable, performant code following software best practices, and help shape technical direction during our front-end faculty meetings.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members, helping them improve their technical skills, understand best practices, and grow professionally;

You also help shape the direction of our front-end architecture, by contributing ideas during faculty meetings and sharing your expertise with colleagues across teams.

You bring

• You bring strong, hands-on expertise in Vue.js and know how to translate that into fast, secure and maintainable front-end solutions. You are comfortable working in a Scrum environment, and just as happy solving a technical bottleneck independently as pairing with a teammate.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with Vue.js; this is your core expertise.
• Experience with API integrations (HTTP, REST) from the front-end.
• Experience working within a Scrum framework, both independently and as part of a team.
• Solid front-end testing experience, for example with Jest.
• A passion for usability, user experience and elegant UI.
• A commitment to Clean Code principles.
• Eagerness to learn, discuss and share knowledge with the rest of the teams.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
