Job summary

Royal Houdijk is looking for a Front-end Developer who combines UX, technology and innovation to build intuitive interfaces for HMIs, customer portals and web applications. You will translate user needs into digital solutions that help operators and customers work efficiently.

In a modern DevOps environment, you contribute through design, development, deployment and monitoring, with opportunities to grow into architecture, design systems, or technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level HBO or equivalent in Software Engineering, CS, or Interaction Design.
• Experience with UX/UI design, prototyping and modern front-end tech.
• Familiar with REST APIs, Git, CI/CD; knowledge of HMIs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into intuitive flows, prototypes and interfaces.
• Develop reusable front-end components for HMIs, portals and web apps.
• Integrate front-end with APIs, machine control and back-end services.
• Ensure quality, usability, security and maintainability of software.
• Contribute to Git, CI/CD, and release processes with monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineers, users and customers to improve digital solutions.
• For senior staff: provide direction for front-end architecture and mentor colleagues.
• Contribute ideas to improve procurement, focusing on quality, reliability and cost.
