Job summary

Fender Innovations in the Netherlands is seeking a motivated CNC Programmer / Operator to bridge design and production. You will translate 3D models into CNC programs and work on PowerMill and Rhino 8 on the production floor, manufacturing tailor‑made fender systems for vessels worldwide.

This role combines computer work with hands-on machining, requiring collaboration with Engineering and Production to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable and of high quality.

Qualifications

• Education or technical experience in a mechanical/technical field (MBO level preferred).
• Experience with CNC technology or strong interest is sought.
• Experience operating CNC machines is an advantage.
• Experience with 3D CAD software is advantageous, especially PowerMill and Rhino 8.
• Good command of Dutch and/or English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Convert 3D models into CNC programs.
• Prepare technical production details in PowerMill.
• Prepare CNC machining operations.
• Program and operate CNC-controlled machines.
• Manufacture and machine moulds, components and production aids.
• Check dimensions and tolerances against specifications.
• Create, verify, and fine-tune CNC machining operations.
• Identify and solve technical issues during production.
• Contribute ideas to improve production methods and techniques.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure manufacturability.
• Inspect finished components and fender systems.
• Prepare and maintain technical production documentation.
• Contribute to new product development and improvements.
