Job summary

Mediahuis is seeking a Freelance Full Stack Engineer to design and build a central Product Service within our B2B technology environment. You will combine development, integration, and architecture to create a scalable foundation for product data across applications.

You’ll work hands-on, implement automated testing, and collaborate with internal teams. The role is freelance until Dec 2026 with a start ASAP; remote work from Belgium or the Netherlands is possible.

Qualifications

• Experienced Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in backend development, databases, API development and system integrations.
• Able to contribute to solution architecture while remaining hands-on in development.
• Proficient in English; Dutch not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a central Product Service to consolidate product information.
• Build integrations between source systems and product database for reliable data exchange.
• Develop an API layer to expose standardized product data to other applications, including a Quote Management System.
• Contribute to solution architecture and translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Implement automated testing to ensure quality, reliability and maintainability.
• Take a hands-on role in development and collaborate with internal engineering teams.
