Job summary

Mediahuis NL B.V. is seeking a Freelance Delivery & Operations Lead to act as the operational heartbeat of a cross-functional team.

The role blends delivery excellence, stakeholder coordination and incident/problem/change support across Belgian and Dutch contexts, with a hybrid working model. Based in Amsterdam or Antwerp, you’ll work closely with Managers, Solution Owners and Engineers, align priorities with the roadmap, and travel between Mediahuis locations as needed to keep business value

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivery, project management, product operations or service management within a technology environment.
• Understanding software delivery and operational processes, coordinating multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day delivery of the team’s roadmap and initiatives, including planning, refinement, prioritisation and release activities.
• Track progress, risks and dependencies and ensure transparency on delivery status, milestones and outcomes.
• Coordinate operational activities across the product landscape and support incident, problem and change management.
• Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvements in ways of working, tooling and team effectiveness.
• Act as central coordination point for capacity planning, workload management and removal of delivery impediments.
• Facilitate collaboration between Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects and other stakeholders.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Solution Owners, and communicate progress and dependencies clearly.

Thisisn’t a traditional Project Manager or Scrum Master position. You’ll combine delivery excellence, operationaloversightand stakeholder coordinationto help the team achieveitsobjectives.

Giventheinternational scope of the team, we expectyoutobeflexibleandwillingtoworkfromandtravelbetweenthe different Mediahuis locationswhenneeded.

What’s on your CV, is important but is by no means theonlything we attachimportanceto.You have proven experience in delivery, project management, product operations or service managementwithin a technology environment. Youunderstand software delivery andoperationalprocessesand feel comfortablecoordinating multiple prioritiesand stakeholders simultaneously.

You’reorganised, pragmaticandcommunicative, with a structuredand data-driven approach todecision-making. Youidentifyrisksearly, proactivelyworktowardssolutionsand focus on outcomesratherthanprocessesforprocess’ sake.

As you’llcollaborateacrossourBelgianand Dutch organisation, a strong command of both Dutch and English is important. You feel comfortablecommunicatingwith different colleaguesand stakeholders in bothlanguages.

Experience withsubscription-basedbusinesses, digital products, media organisations or customer-facing platforms is a plus. Familiaritywith Agile delivery practicesand experience with platform transitions or transformationprogrammeswouldalsobevaluable.
