Job summary

g2 Recruitment invites a Freelance Agentic AI Engineer to design autonomous agents and orchestration systems for multiple automation projects. You will deploy agents that plan tasks, use tools and APIs, retrieve information, and collaborate with other agents across multi-step workflows.

Remote engagement with initial project scope and potential for ongoing collaboration; strong emphasis on production-ready agent architectures and multi-agent coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience building autonomous AI agents and deploying them to production.
• Hands-on with LangGraph, CrewAI or AutoGen.
• Strong understanding of OpenAI APIs, tool calls and orchestration.
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Experience with vector databases and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop autonomous agents for customer support, research, coding and workflow automation
• Build agent orchestration and state-management systems using LangGraph or AutoGen
• Develop tool-using agents integrating external APIs, databases and business systems
• Implement MCP-based tools and integrations where appropriate
• Build retrieval and knowledge capabilities using vector databases and RAG
• Develop multi-agent workflows where specialised agents collaborate on complex tasks
• Integrate OpenAI APIs and other LLM capabilities into production workflows
• Design agent memory, context, task planning and decision-making mechanisms
• Test and evaluate agent reliability, tool usage and task completion
• Develop reusable agent architectures and components that can be applied across multiple projects
