Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES in the Netherlands is seeking a Food Regulatory Affairs Expert to ensure that products and processes comply with international food legislation and internal policies across a global portfolio.

You will translate complex regulations into actionable guidance, support product development, review labels and packaging, advise Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D and Manufacturing, and lead regulatory training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food or dairy industry compliance and regulation.
• Proven track record in a B2B environment with strong analytical and proactive skills.
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory information clearly and pragmatically.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with some office presence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor changes in food legislation, regulations, and industry standards; evaluate their impact on products and processes.
• Review and approve product labels, packaging, claims, and communication materials to ensure compliance.
• Provide regulatory guidance throughout the product development cycle, from concept to launch.
• Conduct risk assessments for new ingredients, packaging changes, and legislative updates.
• Advise colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, and Manufacturing on regulatory requirements.
• Assist in resolving compliance issues by identifying risks and developing practical solutions.
• Support the creation and implementation of policies, guidelines, and standards to strengthen compliance.
• Deliver training sessions to raise regulatory awareness within the organization.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to ensure compliance in a complex business environment.
• Develop expertise in specific areas such as sustainability, contaminants, nutrition, or food claims and serve as a trusted resource internally.
